Grilled chicken with apple jelly
Servings: 4
Preparation: 15 minutes (marinating time 15 minutes to 8 hours) Cooking time: ≈15 minutes

You will need it!
Ingredients
160 ml (2/3 cup) of apple jelly
15 ml (1 tbsp) of El-Ma-Mia BBQ chicken seasoning
125 ml (1/2 cup) of barbecue sauce
5 ml (1 tsp) dried thyme
4 skinless chicken breasts
Steps
Place the apple jelly in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt the apple jelly in the microwave for 30 seconds.
Add the chicken seasoning, barbecue sauce and thyme to the bowl. Stir.
Pour half of the marinade into a resealable bag. Refrigerate the remaining marinade. Add the chicken breasts to the bag and toss to coat them well. Remove as much air as possible and seal the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to 8 hours.
When ready to cook, preheat the barbecue to medium-high heat (approximately 220°C – 425°F).
Drain the breasts and discard the marinade.
Place the chicken breasts on the hot, oiled grill of the barbecue. Close the lid and sear for 2 minutes on each side.
Turn off the burners on one side of the barbecue. Move the chicken breasts to the side with the unlit burners for indirect cooking. Close the lid and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, basting the breasts with the reserved marinade halfway through cooking, until the chicken is no longer pink inside.
