You will need it!


Ingredients


  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) finely chopped vegetables for spaghetti sauce

  • 450 g (1 lb) minced beef

  • 10 ml (2 tsp) of El-Ma-Mia meat pie seasoning

  • 250 ml (1 cup) of Arborio rice

  • 750 ml (3 cups) of beef broth

  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) of canola oil

  • 10 ml (2 tsp) chopped garlic

  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) of parmesan shavings


Steps


  1. In a saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat. Cook the vegetables and, if desired, the garlic for 1 to 2 minutes.

  2. Add the ground beef and the pie seasoning. Stir and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

  3. Add the Arborio rice and beef broth. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 20 minutes over low-medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the rice is creamy.

  4. If desired, garnish with parmesan shavings when serving.
